Love Handle Exercise

Love Handle Exercise

Alright, I'm sure you've heard the spiel before, but what part of your figure do you need to work on next? As much as we hate to have these things pointed out to us, there are commonly a few aspects of our bodies that need work. Probably some of the most common for women are the butt and thigh areas.

These two regions of the body often go down hill as a woman ages. It's totally natural in our society, but that doesn't mean it can't be addressed and remedied. Now, for men these problems are more likely to involve the stomach and mid-section. Do you know a good love handle exercise? Hey, you're going to need one if you're starting to pack on those mid-drift pounds. Ready to get started?

Basic crunch Exercise:
Works the rectus abdominis, the wide flat muscle that runs from your breastbone to the top of your pelvis.
Lie on the floor with your feet hip-width apart. Cradle your head in your hands without lacing your fingers together and with your elbows rounded slightly inward. Tilt your chin a small way towards your chest and pull your abdominal muscles in.
Exhale through your mouth as you curl your head, neck, and shoulders up off the floor. Hold at the top of the movement for a moment, then inhale as you slowly lower down.

Fat Around the Mid-Section

I would be willing to bet money that millions of men have troubles with their mid-sections. This is just that area where all the pizzas and burgers take up residence. Of course the question is; how can one avoid or rid theirself of this dilemma? In my opinion, a great place to begin is with your diet. Now, don't get the wrong idea! A love handle exercise is also important, but I believe in starting with the basics.

The basics involve your diet and fat intake. How much saturated fat do you consume on a daily basis? This isn't difficult to determine. Simply pay close attention to everything you eat one day. How much fat is in each meal? Add it all up and see what needs to change. My guess is you could reduce some of that fat intake. Most people can. Far too many Americans consume way over the recommended daily fat intake. This is not the wisest route to take. After all, where is all that fat going? Clearly it's going to your gut. Okay, this diatribe isn't a scolding; it's a mere wake-up call. Change your diet for the better. Focus on leaner and healthier meals.

Then comes the love handle exercise, There are a few of these your can do. One you will find at the local gym. You basically sit in it with your arms spread apart on pads, and use your mid-section to shift the desired amount of weight, back and forth. It's a killer at first, but you get used to it like everything else. Then there are crunches. These are a simple exercise that can be performed at home. Do as many as you can handle and watch the fat disappear.

You should have known there would be more to trimming up that tummy than a simple love handle exercise. Diet is always crucial when it comes to fitness and staying healthy. The trick is to get started as soon as possible and stick with it.
