Okay, so now we have a brief list of common stomach exercises. BUT, which ones work the best? Well, I certainly have my opinion on the matter, which is based on trial and error. I have tried every single one of these stomach exercises for months at a time, and some for years. You can have traditional sit-ups. I never cared for these, nor do I think they work as well as crunches. They typically leave me with a sore lower-back. Then there's leg raises. You can do a variation of these lying on the floor, or you can use the equipment at the gym to get the full burning effect.

With your knees up, you act like you're riding a bicycle, bringing your elbows to the opposing knees. This is an awesome ab workout and produces great results. Finally there's that nifty exercise ball everyone is raving about. This sucker is ideal for crunches. It provides a very strenuous stomach exercise that gets the job done right. Definitely my favorite of the bunch!

We all require regular stomach exercises. At least if we want a toned tummy and strong midsection. Give one of these ab routines a shot and see what you think. I believe there is a stomach exercise for everyone.
