Do you like to eat? The answer is probably a resounding YES. Hey, don't fret about it; we all love to scarf down good food. The key is knowing where the line should be drawn. For example, are you eating to live, or are you living to eat? Judging from the looks of our fast-food society, I would guess that far too many individuals are living to eat. If they weren't, there would not be so many overeaters anonymous meetings going on all over the place. I have come to believe that consuming food and beverages is a discipline. Would you be willing to attend overeaters anonymous meetings? This is a touchy subject. Have you ever noticed that no one likes to discuss weight? Well, on the other hand, I certainly have no problem with it, but I'm 6'1'' and 170. Some folks may think I don't count. It just seems that when ever anyone brings up weight concerns in the media, whether it be fast food or overeaters anonymous meetings, some folks get pretty touchy. I can still remember the whole airplane spiel. This caused a huge fuss. In all honesty
I didn't know which way to side on this issue. On one hand I think it is rude and insulting to folks who carry some extra pounds, but
on the other hand I know where the concern is coming from. Trust me, it is horrible to sit next to or between to massive individuals
who are overflowing into your personal space. Half the time you're squished and uncomfortable. Not to mention that everyone doesn't practice
proper hygiene habits. So what can we do with an issue like this?
